Singing happy birthday to Destiny

Happy Birthday Destiny

This is Destiny's 2nd birthday party. She sure scored the loot. She loved everyone singing to her. I should have gotten them all in the video too...next time.

She had cherry cake with pink icing that her Grandma Amy made. That's us smothering the poor child who just wants to eat her cake. The bite she gave me was the only bite I had...I was being a good girl. She got the cutest pink diva, sparkly phone and I was telling the person on the other end to stop calling cause Destiny was at her party...she thought that was so funny, but would not put that thing down. Is that a sign for the future? Alysen, her cousin, really enjoyed helping her open all her toys. The last picture is the doll I gave her. It was the first gift opened and immediately became the bottom of the pile. I'm sure she found it again sometime.

Sleding...

We took Destiny out to the yard and pulled her around on a sled. She loved it and has no fear. I got dumped off the back and looked like a beached whale trying to get up...we were all laughing so hard. I sure pray these are the memories Destiny keeps in her heart. Luckily no photos were taken of me rolling around trying to get up, LOL.

Grandma's hot chocolate is always the best warm up after a cold day in the snow...another favorite. She was cheering grandpa.

This is Asia, Amanda and Destiny posing in front of grandma's tree. Destiny was a very big help spreading all the decorations from one end of the house to another.

Christmas shopping

Here is the family Christmas shopping outing. Of course the men disappeared within minutes but kept themselves occupied and out of trouble. The girls stayed together for about 15 minutes and then all took off in different directions. Somehow we all met at the cash registers around the same time...amazing. Destiny had the time of her life yelling for all the different family and you could hear Alyson, Destiny little cousin yelling at the other end of the store. Good thing we were almost the only ones in the store...it was a riot. Outside we all compared how much we each spent.

painting Grandma

This was a fun day of teaching Destiny how to paint. At first it was fun just smearing the paints together on the plate...then we added some to the paper...then came Grandma's face. I have never heard Destiny laugh like she did, priceless.

A day for a walk...

Our weather is so perfect right now, we had to go for a walk. We started in the woods behind the house and ended up in the park. Destiny LOVES the slide and after the millionth time we finally had to go...Grandma carried a temper tantrum girl for a long while before she was nice again. I think our terrible twos are upon us

Harvest Party

This was at our church harvest party. The kids have so much fun with all the games, candy and prizes. They served popcorn, cookies and some kool aide. Destiny had her two favorites, the bouncing castle and the cars. She was so tired but had a major temper tantrum when we tried to leave. She had her choice between being Tinker Bell or Elmo...she loves both of them. After we left the harvest party we went to see mommy at work.

Fall Day in the Park

It was a wonderful day at the park. It was a little drizzly but perfect in every other way. We played on all the swings, slides and seesaw. We laughed and through leaves into the air. I just love Destiny's giggle. We had Holly with us too but I forgot to take her picture. She just loved going to the park. I'm not sure who was the most tired when we got home.

Visiting with Daddy

We went to lunch and the "kids" had fun coloring together. This is one of Destiny favorite activities right now. Daddy brought some cotton candy with him and they enjoyed the sweet treat. I see Destiny looking more and more like her daddy too.

After lunch we went to the park so they could have some play time. I'm not sure who had more fun. Destiny loves the slide. They also played on the swings and laughed...it was a good day.

Even with the sugar, Destiny was exhausted. She had a great nap on the way home.

Green tomatoes...FRIED!!!

Looking for the tomatoes...all the time now. It's the first place she runs to when she gets outside. What's going to happen when the snow falls and there are NO MORE! Finding the ones below and she's such a great picker...looks the plant over top to bottom.
Picked the best and she is so proud to find a big, juicy one and she picked one for grandma too.
chewing on the tomato and enjoying the great outdoors.

After picking way more than I wanted to, I decided to fry them up like my grandmother used to do. Destiny dove right in and love them.

Renaissance

Here is Destiny and I. I'm wearing a feather wreathe that attracted so much attention...mostly I was told that a bird hit my head. My response was, it hurt the bird a whole lot more that it hurt me. One guy that had saw me earlier told me that the bird was still stuck...I told him I wouldn't let go.
Here Grandpa is sharing his cheese curds...with dipping sauce. Destiny loves the dipping sauce, but I'll say she's a natural chez head too.
Our little princess. What a perfect place to buy her a crown. She loves it.
Here a wood fairy had her mystified...not only does Destiny love fairies but flutes!!! It was a double flute and she played it beautifully. She loved the attention of course.
