Here are the kids treat bags. I needed to accomplish a project and get some creative juices going again. These were real fun to make.

Our beloved Holly, by Greg Feirer
Holly "The Dog" Feirer passed quietly at 3:15pm Tuesday September 28 after a long (for a dog) illness. She was 13 years 1 month old.
Holly a Labrador Retriever/ German Shepard mix was born in August 1997. Named Patty Jane, she was abandon by her first owner because their cat didn't like her. She was adopted on December 2, 1997 by Vicki Bottenberg and renamed Holly. She moved in with Vicki, Dane, Chad and Indy cat. With the marriage of Vicki and Greg in 1999 she became Holly "The Dog" Feirer.
Holly lived a full life of retrieving tennis balls, going for rides and walks, sleeping, jumping into lakes, chasing cats and squirrels off her yard. But the thing Holly loved most was being part of the family and looking after all of us.
She is survived by Vicki, Greg, Dane, Chad, Destiny, two indifferent cats (Indy cat and nutty), one self center parrot, a turtle and numerous gold fish.
Pets are a dime a dozen. A really good dog is rare.
She will missed.

A day with my Destiny
Today was a great day. The weather is turning to fall, my most favorite time of the year. I went and picked up Destiny for a girls day. We went to the YMCA and got her first members card. She took the cutest picture. Then I took her on a tour and she's very excited to come back. That might be the extra motivation I need to go myself!
After we left the gym we went to lunch at Arby's... LOL, great diet food. I told her we won't be doing that on a regular basis. Then we went to Walmart to pick up a few things for her fish tank we put in her room. With the tempatures getting low at night, we had to bring in the turtle and pond fish. I had an old 1 gallon tank in the garage... purple of course. So we needed some pink gravel and pink plants. The gravel she like best was a multi color that really is pretty.
We came home put the tank together and she worked real hard. She's a great little helper. I got instructions shortly after that to leave her room and go to my room. She wanted to play by herself... sad faced gramma did what I was told. But then I heard her singing and had to go see. She let me stand in the doorway and take video of her for her GG. Mom, I hope you like these.
It didn't take her long and she came looking for gramma. I was in my studio "playing" myself. When she saw it was "arts and crafts" time, that's all it took.
She went home at 5PM and now the house is quiet again. Can't wait to see her again!
This is my mini me. We were making "art" and she needed a pair of gramma's old glasses. This is her desk in my studio.

Her art project was this beautiful wood puppy house. She worked very hard and we learned how to mix colors to make other colors. She loved the glitter and bling addition. This house would make snoopy jealous... don't you think? The puppy's name is B*I*N*G*O, not bingo... you have to spell it. It was a great afternoon of paint, glitter and glue.
Destiny is learning to use her "sticks". She managed one mouthful of noodles before Gramma got too excited and scared her. We will just put them out at every meal and keep explaining how to use them... she's a smart girl and quick learner.
This is her kimono from our friends in Japan. She's worn it for a couple years and loves it. It's her favorite "relaxing" clothes.
It was another great couple days with my honeypie. She's getting smarter, more helpful and communicative. She has a great sense of humor and we had some great belly laughs. I was her "darling" and so I called her my "honeypie". She is so entertaining and I am blessed for having her.

Our morning speed breakfast on our way out after a very fun and relaxing time with friends. It was a wonderful time even with the rain. It always seems to short of time.

Here is the condo and the partial view of the lake from our balcony. There was a pond just to the right also.
Kitchen and master bath.... ahhhhhhhh
Second living room and dinette set just outside the kitchen.
Huge L shape basement with large screen TV area and the other side was a bar and poker table.
Around the corner from the TV area was the sauna that none of us used because we could just step outside for a sauna... HOT!
This place sleeps 9 easy. Upstairs is two bed rooms and another very large sitting area with one bath. Middle level is the entry level with the kitchen, washer/dryer and 1/2 bath, 2 living rooms 1 1/2 dinning areas and master bedroom and huge patio with another table that seats 8 and gas grill that Rob mad great pork chops on. The basement is the L shape, sauna and another full bath... this place is huge and beautiful.

Weekend at the cottage
Greg and I took Destiny up to the family cottage over the weekend. We had beautiful weather and it was very relaxing. For such a short time, it seemed like a vacation.
Here's Papa and Destiny playing at the lake...
Papa's canon ball... who's the kid?
We took Destiny out of the boat and she loved it. She kept telling Papa, "go faster, go faster".
Some Loon's and a Canadian goose we saw. It was just beautiful out on the lake. We also saw a bald eagle soaring, but it was to high to take a picture of.
Destiny helping to get dinner ready.
Destiny and I in Great Grandpa's golf cart.
I thought it would get quiet on the way home and it didn't take the girls too long to fall asleep. I know Holly is still sleeping it off today... wonder how Destiny is doing? There were a couple little problems, Destiny bit her lip when fell and all the mosquito bites to deal with. I think we will itch for years to come.

Flowers
These are my first beautiful flowers for the season. My Hibiscus was as big as Destiny's head, and she was amazed. After discovering that flower we had to search the yard for more stuff. It was a good day outside. When we came in I realized she was wearing her flower girl shirt from a wedding she was in... too funny.
