Here we are at the parade waiting for all the floats. Grandpa (Greg) took the picture. He was most concerned about the weather and watched it on his cell phone. Seems like every year the parade gets rained out and this year was no exception for the worry. It was very windy with dark clouds through out the parade. However, the rain held off until the parade was almost over and Destiny was sugared up on tootsi rolls. She really didn't like the big loud trucks or bands that seemed to stop right in front of us EVERY TIME! After all her chocolate, it became easier for her to handle and she would march her little feet up and down grandma's lap. It's amazing what chocolate will do for a women's nerves, lol.

Here are my Legion buddies marching in the heat. I think it was in the low 90's. I was very happy to not be in the parade this year as much as I love it. It was nice to share the fun side with Greg, Destiny and Grandma Amy, Destiny's other Grandma.

Here's Bob and Arnold, a couple great guys and served in WWII.
The weekend was packed with events, people and all kinds of food of course. We didn't go near the food booths thank God.
