Officiers 08-09

Here I am again...K A R R I L E E! The person who got me involved with my new obsession. This is just so much easier than my web site.

Anywhoooo, this weekend is our town's celebration, River Falls Days with the theme of "Yippie-kai-yay on the Kinni", that's the river that runs through our town. Friday night is the parade, then all weekend there are events, noise, food, princesses and lots happening. Sunday they end with fireworks. We have Destiny for the parade this time but wish we had her for the fireworks. I think I'm going to ask if we can tag along with the kids so I can be with her.

Last night I officially became 2nd vice commander. That's us being sworn in. Greg (hubby) came to watch and take pictures for me. I'm excited and looking forward to the new year. I handed off any historian stuff except the scrap book because most of that was mine. I'll still do the scrap book if they want me too because I like to do it.

Today is a beautiful day...63 with a wonderful breeze. I have a massage at 2:00 PM and plan on getting some house stuff done at some point today, lol, or maybe I'll sew a little and scrap book later tonight. I have a challenge to finish up and since this is going to be such a busy weekend I only have tonight to do it. Oh the decisions we sometimes have to make, lol.

A day at the zoo

I went to the MN zoo yesterday with my oldest son Chad and his daughter Destiny. It was a beautiful day full of fun and laughter. Little miss took only a few minutes to understand why we were at the zoo...she loved watching all the human animals too.
It was a great time for Daddy and daughter to do some bonding and learning about each other. They shared a bag of popcorn, learned about animals, played in the water and shared ice cream. Daddy learned that you shouldn't get the baby all sugared up...she's a wild women!

Singing Japanese

Singing with her Japanese book. She's a very happy child.

Destiny's Life

I am new to this blogging stuff so I will start out with something easy for me...my granddaughter. She is 1 1/2 years old now and the treasure of my life. I never realized I could love someone else's child as much as I love my own...but I do.
