For Christmas this year Greg and I got Destiny a doll house and she is loving it.  Her and I put it together and now will buy furniture and decorate the house.  She has gathered EVERY small doll she has and filled that house with so many people, it's amazing.  GG and daddy Chad gave her some money so we went shopping and yes... she bought dolls.  We had a Barbie and Ken wedding!!!  Sorry, your invitation got lost in the mail... LOL
We had to dig out an old backpack for her to keep all her parts and pieces in.  FREAK OUT if one of those small brushes goes missing.  Randi must have ate it.
I've had these photo bendable for years.  Each one of us has one, all the animals have one and Destiny's picture is still a baby in hers!  Anyhow, she's claimed them as her own and daddy Chad was dating this bomb shell until Ken came along.  I need to find the other Barbies she has so he can have a girlfriend.

These last four photos are Destiny's.  She is a photo taker and getting better all the time.  Notice the self portrait?  I was wondering what she was doing.  We were at the Legion for coffee and she was running around taking photos of everyone.  The guys just love her.

Update on my journal

My monthly pockets are filling up!  I've attached my journaling card that I use to remind me of what I want to scrapbook about my story.  I'm using the bingo cards from my "twelve" class and it's been fun.  I've also printed off some personal bingo cards to make my life fun while doing chores and other unnecessary tasks, LOL.   Legion bingo has NOTHING on my bingo!  OK, they give money to the winners, but I win every time I mark out a square.  The pocket holds my lists and that fantastic rainbow journal was sent by my teacher.  Very nice book.  I have one photo in there this month of ME!  I'm printing one of my recipe and still deciding on the last two photos to put in there.
On the very front pocket I have my year intentions list, a reminder list of what I sent out to the world... very daring thing to do, LOL.  And the most important reminder list in markers on the front inside cover to keep me on track... not in order.
My daily journaling is still going good, a first for me.  I have two weeks written now, plus my monthly doodling page to the left.
This is the rainbow book.  I am using it to write prompts down that my teacher emails us, my journaling card so when I'm out shopping and get inspired by something I have my list with me.  Also I printed out a calendar to attach to the opposite page to help me keep up with my life.

Life is good!!!  I need one of those t-shirts from that company cause I'm really understanding that better.  This next half of my life journey is going to be AWESOME!

RecipeBook

Another one of my intentions this year is to finish my recipe book.  I've actually been working on it for a couple years and have some great recipes ready.  Now I'm going to start making the food... one a week for sure... taking a picture of the food and assembling my cook book.

Today's recipe is Banana Nut Bread... all the photos seem to be blurry... not sure what I did.
This recipe comes from the 1949 Betty Crocker Cookbook. It was my grandmothers book.

I double the recipe and use the small aluminum loaf pans. I get four and it's a great gift or freezes well for later.

My Creative Station

I'm using what I have for this years project as much as I can.  I didn't have clips though and so bought these cute, tiny little clothes line clips.  Now I'm trying to decide what to use instead of a muffin tin.  I just don't have the room for that.
I'm using an old paper organizer.  I'm using the bottom for my large files for my class "12".  It came with these heavy plastic dividers and there just happen to be "12" of them.  I LOVE when things like this happen.  I "BELIEVE" this is all for a reason.  The lid is for my small files for my other classes.  I also have room to keep my daily journal and mindful thinking journal.  Everything is labeled and collecting things already.  I'm designing in digital first, seems to help my creative juices better and the class has great templates to use.  Then I'll assemble a book as I discover the things I NEED and praying have on hand!  Which I remember some of... may be buried deep in my closet.  I'll be tearing that apart this coming weekend maybe.

One little word... BELIEVE!

This is the first page for my class called "one little word".  This is going to be a year long class and I'm so excited!  It's going to be a lot of work in some ways, but I "believe" it will be so worth it.  I receive an email with instructions once a week for 12 wks and the rest of the year have chats, communities and other activities.  In the end I should have a very interesting book about my life this year.  So my first page contains some words and intentions I've set for my year.  Let the word party begin...

New Year... happy it will be, I BELIEVE!

This year I'm taking some online classes.  I didn't realize when I signed up for them how significant they would be and all intertwined together so well.  Just like when I purchased this journal... had NO CLUE why I NEEDED it.  I've NEVER been a diary kind of girl.
a digital cover with some of the classes I'm taking and what I'll use this journal for.
using 3M post its to design how I want things laid out on the inside.
This journal is arranged with 4 of the lined pages you see above... 1 for each week of the month.
I've added a page to the left with journaling blocks for the month.  Things like exercise, quote, prayer, bible verse, my intentions, new habit and key words for the month.  It will be used for motivation and reminders.  My weekly page will be used to record the days events of the week and a recipe.  I will be making a recipe book this year.  Stay tuned!

Here is the last pages.  There is one photo sleeve to add 4 photos, 1 for each week.  Also, a pocket page I will add loose assignments and other things in.  I've now added a check up list.  It has questions and places to sum up my month.  I'm really looking forward to using this.  I'll take some photos at the end of the month and show my progress.

Out with the old... In with the new...

Pete and Suzie
This was a comb party.  Our 1st vice commander and friend Pete will be leaving on Jan 6 with a group going to Afghanistan for 6 months.  They didn't want a going away party so we had a New Years party and a lot of the legion buddies came in to "say see you in June Pete".

Here is our food table.  We had bean soup, bourbon meat balls, deviled eggs, relish tray, chips/dip, shrimp, mini corn dogs and chicken nuggets.  FEAST for all!

Suzie and I eating, drinking and being merry.

Todd, Jerry & Jerry and Larry

Some of the group.  I know it doesn't look like many, but forgot to get the mass crowd photo.... I was being merry.
Everyone had a nice time.  Lots of laughs, stories and greetings for the coming year.
