MEPS Minneapolis and the door to the waiting room. Destiny and I sat and waited for Dane to finish his paperwork and then enter the ceremony room.
It was Aug 3, 2011 1200 hours, when Dane became a US Navy sailor. He was sworn in by LT. Bellina. He was very personable, asking Dane questions and trying to put him at ease at first. They had to be the same age!
This was a posed photo op for Mom. The LT looked Dane square in the eye and said “shake my hand, look at the camera and smile.” My thought was “had he met my son before and knew there might not be a smile for the camera?! Two handsome guys.
