Come and gone...

 

While waiting for Shoji & Satoe to arrive, Grandpa and Destiny took a walk to make sure we were in the right section.  

Destiny took the photo of Shoji and Satoe at Mall of America.  We ate at the Rainforest cafe and had some great "old time" photos taken.  I just LOVE them!  I'll post them later.  I need to scan them in.

  Later that evening we had a BBQ and some friends showed up to welcome them.  Everyone brought such wonderful food and we had lots of stories and laughs.

 

On Friday we took them on a paddle boat ride down the St. Croix river.  It was so relaxing and we brought a wonderful picnic basket filled with leftovers from the BBQ.

 

Later that night we stopped at the Legion for some bingo.  Satoe says she'll fly over for the next event, LOL.  Silly girl, but she really enjoyed it.  

That's me helping Eddie, my commander with paperwork.  He brought me the most beautiful bouquet for our BBQ... such a sweetie.

 Sunday check out.  So sad to see them leave so soon.  It's our turn to head back to Japan in a couple years... can't wait.
